The Chairman of the WP 29 (group of the European Data Protecion Authorities) has announced today that first guidelines for the application of the GDPR should be released after the WP29 meeting taking place on the 12-13 of December.
The first guidelines should cover the following matters:
- Data Protection Officer
- Data Portability
- Designation of a lead Data Protection Authority
Further guidance should be coming mid 2017.
